We welcome guest trumpet player Andrew Filippone, who is graciously sharing his talents with us this morning.

FAMILY COMMUNION TODAY: This Sunday, children ages 2 – grade 5 (and older children involved with the musical) will begin Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. instead of starting out in worship. They will come into the sanctuary at the END of the service to join their families for communion. There is no Church Mice rehearsal today.

PROGRESSIVE DINNER SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7TH!

If you haven't yet signed up, please do so immediately (Nora Holley or ). For all those attending, the evening begins at 6 p.m. at the lovely home of Steve Jones and Mary Nohara at 81 Oak Ridge Avenue, Summit. (Directions below as well as in a congregational email on 2/6.) Please bring your appetizer with you (desserts in cars till 10:00 p.m.). Kristi and I will check you in at the Nohara/Jones and provide you with your dinner assignment, directions to your dinner house and to the Rush's. Appetizers and cocktails will be served until 8:00 and then off we all go to 14 dinner hosts for dinner. We will all meet up at the Rush's around 10pm.

Directions to 81 Oak Ridge Ave, Summit from Christ Church:

 –  Left onto Springfield Avenue.

 –  Turn right onto Morris Ave (for .4 mile)

 –  Turn right onto Summit Ave.

 –  Summit Ave becomes Elm street

 –  Turn right onto Oak Ridge Ave

 –  House is on the right, one house away from the

 –  intersection of Montview Road and Oak Ridge.

House (#81) is on the large lamp post at the end of the front walk.
Balloons will be on the lamp post.

DONKEY TALES, a musical, will be performed by the children in our Sunday school during the 9:30 worship service on February 8. All children in the cast need to report to Barnwell Hall at 9:00 that morning. The church mice will rehearse with the older children in Barnwell Hall at 9:15. There will also be a dress rehearsal for the cast on Friday, Feb 6, in the sanctuary from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m.

Board of World Fellowship will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 3, at 7:30 in the Guild Room (aka. The Conference Room). The BWF, the outreach and mission arm of Christ Church supports local, national, and international organizations and projects. The current members of the Board welcome all those who would like to join the committee in identifying, evaluating and selecting the groups that will receive church funds in 2009. If you would like to join the Board please contact us at (). Organizations interested in applying for funds from the BWF for 2009 should contact the board () soon since all applications and related information must be submitted by March 20, 2009.
