PFLAG of Morris County meets on the second Monday of the month, at 7:30 pm, in Frost Hall at Brookside Community Church, UCC, 8 E. Main Street, in the Brookside section of Mendham Township. Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians & Gays (PFLAG) celebrates diversity and envisions a society that embraces everyone, including those of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. A national organization with over 200,000 members and over 500 affiliates, PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons, as well as their families and friends.
Many know first hand how essential PFLAG is in bringing support to families struggling with the news that a loved one is LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or Transgendered). As a primarily heterosexual organization, PFLAG is uniquely positioned to provide a place where parents, siblings and friends of gay people can deal with their stresses and fears, learn from knowledgeable & accepting families, and ultimately build stronger, closer relationships with their gay loved ones. Indeed, PFLAG encourages people to stay close, because relationships are too precious to lose.
